Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sima Capkeeper 2 for SLRs and Digital SLRsCustomer Review: Just what I needed Summary: 5 StarsThis was just what I needed. I was a little worried as this keeper was the most inexpensive one; but it turns out to be terrific. It is well constructed and works great on my 72mm (filter size) lens.
Customer Review: Don't Be Crazy! Summary: 1 StarsDon't Be Crazy! I just bought this EXACT same item today for $2.69 at my local camera store!
Customer Review: Capkeeper keeps cap Summary: 5 StarsVery convenient - the keeper attaches to the cap with a piece of sticky tape. I was worried about how strong the bond was but it seems fine. The keeper has an elastic band that fits around the lens and tethers the cap to the camera. The elastic does not interfere with zoom operation and is not even noticeable on the camera.
Customer Review: Works great. Summary: 4 StarsBought this for my Nikon D80 28-135mm lens. It's a piece of thin cord with elastic on one end and a piece of round foam tape on the other with the Sima logo to stick to your lens cap. I first tried putting the elastic around my lens (as in the picture), but it kept getting in the way when I zoomed in and out. So I looped the elastic through my neck strap. The down side to this approach is not having a lens cap when I change lenses, which wasn't an issue until recently, since I only had the one lens. While the cord/leash could be a little longer, it works just fine. I've taken my lens cap off and on numerous times, but it has not come off.
Update on June 3, 2009: After two years of use, it's still as good as new. The cap has never fallen off, and the adhesive shows no sign of wearing off.
Customer Review: Does what it should Summary: 4 StarsSimple to use. Watch for windy conditions, it'll send the cap flying all over.
